-------------------------------------------------------------
It started as a hobby – a normal term for such a sick practice. The fascination over watching the crimson liquid rise to the surface of an otherwise unmarred arm was disturbing. The knife slipped ever deeper, leaving spider web scars on tanned skin.
Betrayal. Daryan being dragged out of the courtroom, hair and expression falling apart as it seemed like everything crashed down. He’d hated watching. The handcuffs had glittered in the courtroom light.
The knife plunged, bringing pain and relief in one swift blow. Anger, hate, lover, all mixing together in the scarlet liquid, a flurry of emotions and the despair and emptiness that followed. So beautiful.
Betrayal. His brother walking out, that grin still plastered on that perfect face, elegant and beautiful. Kristoph had kept his back straight, his head held high, as if he’d done nothing wrong. His declarations that he was needed. The handcuffs had glittered in the courtroom light.
Shuddering gasps as the knife cast rainbows, scattering beauty and horror around the room. Tears mingled with blood, the knife shaking, causing imperfect scars and slicing through skin jerkily. The very idea of harming oneself seemed stupid, ridiculous, but Klavier didn’t care anymore. It was a enthralling ritual, truly, one that he couldn’t tear his gaze from, one he couldn’t stop. His arm felt limp, as if there had been one cut too many, and the knife slid from his grasp to clang dully on the floor. Klavier let his head fall forward, sobbing uncontrollably. He’d become dependent on such a small object... it was absurd. The knife glittered in the bathroom light.
